A    brisk pace         

B    normal pace        

C    leisurely pace    

We do not feel that we can give reliable walking speeds or walk durations for the above grades, because they are very dependent upon 

  • how hilly the walk is

  • how many stiles are encountered on the walk

  • the conditions underfoot - how muddy paths are etc

  • the number of walkers in the group - large groups usually progress more slowly

However, the leader of a particular walk may be able to give more detailed guidance.
